Tilde Music
…
tildeMUSIC is a network and a web based music label dedicated to work by dak~ [dak.tilde] live-electronic trio as well as different side projects of the dak~ [dak.tilde] members. dak~ [dak.tilde] trio is one of the most brain-twisting ensembles working in the field of live-electronics. Its highly unique sound blends the worlds of raw digital music, experimental hip-hop and free jazz. This project has been founded in 2007 as a collaboration between three composers – Damian Marhulets, Kostia Rapoport and David Borges with a special emphasizing on creating a particular form of improvisation with digital and electronic instruments. Making use of vintage synthesizers extended with computers, MIDI controllers and self programmed digital instruments dak ~ [dak.tilde] creates a musical context between retro-futuristic sounds, slinky noise and contemporary digital music.
Flying Tilde
In year 2009 two of dak~ [dak.tilde] performers – Damian Marhulets and Kostia Rapoport join forces to form Flying Tilde side project especially for their performance at the “Re:New” digital art festival in Copenhagen. Together they have created a whole new kind of music spanning the words of experimental electronic, break beats and free improvisation music.
2D~ [2d.tilde]
is another side project, which teams David Borges and Damian Marhulets – two members of the dak~ [dak.tilde] trio. Completely unique and truly original, 2d~ [2d.tilde] duo developed it’s language through the combination of sophisticated programmed drum machines and earsplitting manipulations of analogue synth sounds. 2d~ [2d.tilde] creates some of the very radical and raw improvised electronic music around.

The next important part of dak~ [dak.tilde] activity lies in co-working with contemporary artists and collaboration with museums and contemporary art galleries. Among others, dak~ [dak.tilde] has already performed at front of the Tatsuo Miyajima installation, improvised for an exhibition of German photographer Wolfgang Tillman and performed the graphic scores by Channa Horwiz. The trio was a guest of the “long night of museums” event in Hannover and Berlin (Germany). Collaboration with the Sprengel Museum Hanover resulted in establishment of its own electronic music festival “Music for Rooms”. This festival has been focused on particular connections between contemporary art and modern electronic music. In Year 2009 dak~ [dak.tilde] members organized the next festival dedicated to electronic music in Hanover – “tildeMusic”, with such line-up guests as eRikm , Martin Brandlmayer, DJ Sniff and others.
